Rai Kunitsugu (来国次), Yamashiro, name at birth: Saburō ́emon (三郎右衛門), according to Kotō Meizukushi Taizen he was a son-in law of Rai Kunitoshi (来国俊), there era date signatures of survived works from the Karyaku era (嘉暦, 1326-1329) to the Shōkyō era (正慶, 1332-1334), he mostly made hira-zukuri ko-wakizashi with broad mihaba and shallow sori, because of the nie and Sōshū-like workmanship he is called „Kamakura-Rai“, he is counted as one of the Masamune no Jittetsu, Kinai (畿内), saijō-saku.
Designated as Jūyō Tōken at the 25th jūyō-shinsa held on the 24-27th of April 1969.
